Your Life Was Already Decided
Hey there!
Welcome to this week’s new members of the Mastering Your Mindset community who have joined us since Monday. Join the 1.9k+ others who are learning to master their mindset.
Quick question: what were you doing 90 days ago?
No, not what you had for dinner (let’s face it, even yesterday's menu is foggy).
Think bigger. What was your mindset? What did your life look like?
Here’s the thing: 90 days ago, you likely weren’t obsessing over today.
Maybe you had some vague optimism about living better, or maybe you were just grinding, drifting along the river of time.
Regardless, today showed up anyway.
Time didn’t care if you hit the gym, binged on candy, or set a DoorDash record.
It doesn’t stop to high-five your wins or console your losses. It just spits you out into the now.
So, here we are.
The only thing that truly matters from the last 90 days is what you have to show for them.
That could be the toned confidence of an Egyptian statue—or the aftermath of Netflix-fueled ramen lunches.
Whatever habits dictated your days, the feelings that came with them are gone.
What’s left is your current reality: how does it feel to be you?
This isn’t a guilt trip. It’s a reminder of your power.
Every day, multiple times a day, you stand at little crossroads.
Do you default to what's easy, or choose what moves you forward?
Maybe the idea of a healthier lunch or a brisk walk feels weird or inconvenient.
That discomfort—the little voice whispering not today—disappears faster than the pleasure of an ice cream binge.
All that remains is the result of your actions.
Picture this: a life calendar. Each week of your (theoretically 90-year) life is a tiny dot.
I’m 33, which means I’ve filled about 36.67% of my calendar. It’s a humbling visual.
90 days? Just a blip on that grid.
But here’s the beauty of it: those three months can reshape everything.
The gym. Healthier meals. Being present with loved ones. Whatever it is, those consistent actions can transform where you’ll be three months from now.
Yet, the flipside of the calendar hits just as hard. Our time here isn’t infinite.
Each square you let drift by is one you’ll never get back.
So why not make the next 90 days count? Why not steer your ship toward the version of yourself you want to meet three months from now?
In 90 days, you’ll arrive at another “today.”
The question is: will you look back proud of how you spent those squares? Or will you wish you’d started sooner?
The clock is ticking. Let's make those little dots mean something.
Have a wonderful week, all.
